The road to the 2014 NCAA Frozen Four is stopping at Webster Bank Arena. The arena will be the site of the 2014 NCAA Hockey East Regional men’s hockey tournament. The games will be played Friday, March 28, 2014 and Saturday, March 29, 2014. Four Division I teams will compete for the right to move on to the Frozen Four tournament in Philadelphia.
Fairfield University and Yale University will serve as the hosts for the tournament. The Stags and Bulldogs co-hosted the 2009, 2011 and 2012 regional tournaments at Webster Bank Arena. The 2009 tournament drew a record 8,478 fans on both nights.
“It’s quite an honor to be hosting the fourth NCAA Frozen Four regional tournament since 2009,” said Harbor Yard Sports and Entertainment President Howard Saffan. “With our new center-hung high definition videoboard, ribbon boards and Stags Club, the Webster Bank Arena will offer an even more impressive venue than in years past.”
